OnePlus 6 Receives OxygenOS 5.1.8 With Some Minor Updates And Fixes
A few days after launching OxygenOS 5.1.7 for OnePlus 6 handsets, OnePlus has issued out the next edition named as OxygenOS 5.1.8. The new version of OS, being a small update, brings no new onboard functions but does fix some of the problems in the smartphones. The company claims that OxygenOS 5.1.8 fundamentally fixes 3 errors that tackle the system stability, call quality, and the network.
Not only the quality of the call is optimized with the OS edition but issues related to stability of system have been solved too. Also enhanced is the stability of network. All this comes along with normal error fixes. Even though OnePlus mentions these fixes with the new OS version, it claims that all the functions it conveyed with OxygenOS 5.1.7 (for Indian territory) are also comprised in this.
Not all OnePlus 6 consumers will be getting this upgrade at once provided that OxygenOS 5.1.8 (similar to earlier versions of OS) is an incremental upgrade. The version has been provided to minor percentage of consumers and will be arriving to other models shortly. The new OS update has a size of almost 102 MB.
To remember, the recent OxygenOS 5.1.7 by OnePlus also conveyed some error fixes. It also comprised fixes for the bootloader error. The company on June 14, 2018, claimed, “We got some reports from consumers in India that they had felt stability problems with Oxygen OS 5.1.6 upgrade, we have stopped the launch of this OTA. The 5.1.7 upgrade will not be issued for India, since we are still operating on a fix on the basis of logs we have got from consumers who have reported these problems. We will be issuing 5.1.8 upgrade in the upcoming week that will comprise the fix & also have all the functions comprised in the update with version number 5.1.7.”
